Rising to the Challenge: How Villages Supported Their Members and Communities During the COVID-19 Pandemic
This 2022 report summarizes my work with the Washington Area Village Exchange to study their responses to the recent pandemic. The results of this survey are highlighted in my recent conversation with the Academic Minute (listen here).

Animal Cruelty Crime Statistics: Findings from a Survey of State Uniform Crime Reporting Programs
This 2012 report presents the findings from my collaboration with the Animal Welfare Institute to identify animal cruelty crime data collected by states and to support a national collection of animal cruelty reported to police.

Congressional Briefing: Investing in Data to Inform Justice for Women and Girls

I was invited to participate in a Congressional briefing on Translating Research to Policy - Improving Justice for Women and Girls. My presentation highlighted the need for federal investment in crime data to support research and evidence-based policies.

Military Sexual Assault Response Panel Hearing
June 27, 2013
I was invited to present before the Congressionally appointed panel that was investigating sexual assault crimes occurring in the US military. My presentation covered civilian sexual assault data and compared these with the military's survey data. C-SPAN aired this hearing, which is available here.
